How Can Jesus Heal The Sick Today...When He No Longer Lives On The Earth?
When Jesus lived on earth 2000 years ago, He not only performed miracle healings Himself, He also authorized and empowered His disciples to do the same...i.e., those men and women who believed in Him, who followed Him, listened to all His teachings, studied His words, and put into practice what Jesus taught them.
First Jesus sent out His "twelve" closest followers...from village to village, to teach all people, to preach "the Kingdom of God has come near you today," to cast out demons, and to heal the sick, the same as Jesus was doing. Then Jesus sent out " the 70" disciples to cast out evil spirits and heal the sick. Jesus said, “Most assuredly, I say to you, he who believes in Me, the works that I do he will do also; and greater works than these he will do, because I go to My Father (in Heaven)." (John 14:12 Holy Bible)
After His resurrection from the dead, Jesus spent 40 days with His disciples and was seen by hundreds of His followers. During that time, after His death, burial and resurrection, Jesus said to His disciples...
“Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature. He who believes and is baptized will be saved; but he who does not believe will be condemned. And these signs will follow those who believe: In My name they will cast out demons...they will lay hands on the sick, and they will recover.”
"So then, after the Lord (Jesus) had spoken to them, He was received up into heaven, and sat down at the right hand of God. And they (the believers in Jesus) went out and preached everywhere, the Lord working with them and confirming the Word through the accompanying signs." When you read the "New Covenant/Testament" books in the Bible, what is evident and undeniable is that Jesus genuinely LOVED people!...Especially sinners and social outcasts. He never condemned them. He accepted each person just as they were, and healed all who came to Him.
Jesus
healed all who were sick. However He used different ways of healing for
different people...whichever way the person could receive their
healing, that's what Jesus used to heal them.
The same is true today...Jesus still uses these same ways to heal the sick. He will meet you where you are and provide a way of healing that will work for you...no matter where you are, what your circumstance, or healing need...Jesus is your Healer.
Common Ways Jesus Heals The Sick Today:
